CHIME is launching an open call for a data sonification residency — a project that pairs sound artists and composers with data-driven researchers at the University of Glasgow.
Three Scotland-based artists will be selected to create new sound pieces or approaches based on data sonification: the process of turning data into sound.
We welcome applications from artists of all backgrounds, identities, career stages, and experiences.
Residents will recieve:
💷 £1,700 residency fee
💷 £200 production budget
👂 Consulation with data sonification experts
💻 Support from data scientists
🗣️ Opportunities to share their work and discuss work in progress
