So glad D'Angelo's music lives on through incredible vocalists and musicians. He was unique in his style, knew no boundaries when it came to his music and he explored those options. Last night I had the pleasure of finally meeting Gene Noble @iamgenenoble - incredibly talented singer. You have seen him on stages with Usher and coming up, Jill Scott. The choices in his runs, tasty, smooth, sultry.
On stage its always great seeing friends and meeting new people.
Yes, this is a long video. I was a horrible person for recording the whole thing. But it was worth feeling what I needed to feel over the loss of an incredible artists during this tribute show.

Being a singer who is hard of hearing can be very intimidating…but I had this crazy idea ….to see if I could push beyond my fears and learn this song ….and perform it live😩🤯 …. No autotune, no retakes, no backing tracks ….. organic and live!!! …..being able to sing this song, missed notes and all was a MAJOR accomplishment for me. And I can’t wait to sing it again!!!
