Philly's official Malcolm X Day Festival is back for an 11th year of celebration and dedication to the memory of #MalcolmX, his message, his martyrdom, and the movements he inspired.
Join us for an afternoon of culture, conversation, and community building. We're gearing up for another amazing start to #Philly festival season, LIVE from @MalcolmXPark . Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th. This will be our biggest and best event yet... you do not want to miss it.

JOIN @cmxdphilly for the upcoming Panel Discussion and Community Conversation, "Malcolm in This Moment"!
As we end Black History Month, we will look to uplift the ideas that Malcolm championed while addressing the current realities and needs for organized struggle in Philly, and beyond.

The 2nd Annual @cmxdphilly STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST has JUST LAUNCHED!
Last year during our inaugural contest, we heard from an amazing young man onstage at Malcolm X Day, from Bodine High School. What schools will this year's winners be from???
We are looking for essays that provide insight into their life, how they see Philly, and how change can ultimately happen for our people. And, we are confirming some more exciting prizes as we speak!
PLEASE SHARE! If you have any questions, hit us up!

Habari Gani? UJIMA! Collective Work and Responsibility!
SAVE THE DATE! @cmxdphilly Presents our 11th Annual Malcolm X Day Celebration - Saturday, May 16th, 2026!
For over a decade, we've supported hundreds of vendors with their businesses, engaged dozens of community organizations doing superb work, and provided political education to thousands. All while making Malcolm X Park a safer space for our children and families.
With Philly recognizing the semi-quincentennial next year (250th birthday), and all of the "celebrations" already being planned, we felt it only right to ground us in the whole truth of what this moment really means. Put CMXD on your calendar - you won't want to miss it!
We are also RAISING FUNDS, looking to raise $2,500 by New Year's! Please cashapp us at $cmxdphl65.
See you May 16th! Happy Kwanzaa!
Due to inclement weather forecasted for tomorrow, we have decided to push the event to this Sunday, May 18th.
SHARE THIS FLYER and let your friends and family know when and where to pull up on us!
A new chapter of my life story begins today.
Feeling excited to see what the next 365 pages have in store for me.
