When the boss says it’s her first day… but she served you noodles last week 💀🍜

Who needs a bar when you have a steaming bowl of noodles?
The perfect recipe for a night out: chaotic energy, zero personal space, six voices competing to be heard, and the collective delusion that we can fit one more plate on this table.
Half dinner, half group therapy, pure comfort. 🥺❤️

Chew Fun is the kind of place that reminds you food is more than just eating - it’s connection, culture, and comfort all in one. A simple noodle spot that somehow turns into a meeting point for people from all over the world, all here for the same thing - proper, no-frills Chinese food that hits every time.
We went all in and honestly… no regrets.
Each of us ordered something different, so the table was full of everything from rich, silky rice noodles to crispy, flavour-packed sides we couldn’t stop picking at. Think tender beef flank, deep fried chicken with that unreal secret sauce, slow cooked spicy chicken warming you up with every bite, and roasted duck that just speaks for itself… but the roasted duck with spring onion? easily my favourite.
Then came the extras - coconut satay, butter garlic mushrooms, quail eggs, fresh veg on the side, taro cake… one of those tables where you say “let’s just try a few things” and suddenly there’s no space left.
Washed it all down with date and goji tea, a Wangzai for nostalgia, and the classic Diet Coke on the side.
It’s chaotic, it’s comforting, and it’s exactly the kind of place you keep coming back to - not just for the food, but for the feeling.
Let’s check out this authentic Chinese noodle spot in London’s Spitalfields, claiming the title of the best noodles in the area.
Established in 2019, @chew.fun has evolved from a simple noodle shop into a lively local hangout, attracting visitors from all over the world for a taste of authentic Chinese noodles.
I tried the “beef three ways,” which included raw beef, beef shank, and tripe—definitely an experience. The ordering process is simple: first, choose your protein, then your noodles. I went for the potato starch noodles, which had a satisfyingly chewy texture. You can have your dish served in soup or dry, with the broth on the side.
There are plenty of add-ons too. My friend opted for the roast duck with plum sauce served over rice, and we also sampled a few sides. Some of the more popular dishes were already sold out, so it’s worth arriving early. Still, we enjoyed the enoki mushroom with cucumber, diced pork with cumin, and coconut chicken with satay sauce. What really surprised us, though, was the steamed lettuce in oyster sauce.
Overall, the sides were incredibly flavourful. I would’ve loved to try the quail eggs with tofu or the deep-fried chicken gizzard, so this is definitely a spot worth returning to.

These sesame balls are unreal @chew.fun 👀🔥 #viralshorts #halalfood #londonfood #fypp
We tried the sesame balls with red bean paste — a super popular East Asian dessert 🫘✨
The moment you break into it… it’s so soft. Like an actual pillow 😭🤤
Crispy on the outside, warm and sweet on the inside — that red bean filling just hits perfectly 🔥
Honestly, I loved this. So, so good.

PR | Customisable noodle place with the most delicious sides! Chew Fun is a trendy spot in East London for noodle lovers. 🍜 What sets them apart is the customisable options, which was plenty. Plus do not sleep on their sides options too! I also could've eaten copious amounts of those fried tarot croquettes for dessert. 😍
What we got are captioned in the video but if you want to know more, check their website 🍜✨️
