Some sad news about my dad, Tom. As some of you will know he has had illness in the form of Vascular Dementia for a while and after a short but significant illness from a chest infection, he moved on today earlier in the morning.
Dad was a great bloke, a good friend to many people and a really nice person, married to his great wife Carole until 2021 when she was taken from us with Covid.
I really enjoyed seeing him later in life when he was in his care home, we often used to have some silly moments together, laughing about seemingly just daft and inane things, and I always kept him up to date on his favourite football team. I especially enjoyed when I was given the chance to help take him on a trip to Brooklands museum. He really enjoyed all the sights there and we had a wonderful time. there are loads of other wonderful stories about a genuinely lovely person.
Anyway, the world has lost a wonderful human being, I and my sister will always enjoy the good times with him. Thanks also to Chris, Lou’s husband for helping out and being supportive.
Aaaah I loved this wedding so much! Charlotte and Tom are the nicest people you could possibly meet and they were so chilled and smiley through their whole wedding day! Storm Amy made her presence known but we were really lucky to get a few dry moments just at the right time so we could do confetti and also some photos under @gillpikeflorist ‘s stunning flower arch. It was a real pleasure to catch up with Tom’s mum @lou_ac23 , who I’ve worked with at many weddings over the past 16 years! Plus always lovely to see the best dj, Chris Haslam. Congrats guys!!
