Fashion as Art: CherryArts Summer Studio with Lilian Lara
for students ages 11 to 17
June 1 to June 5
in Cherry Creek North
In this Project Runway–inspired camp led by mixed media artist Lilian Lara, students will work with small design teams to create dramatic looks inspired by past Cherry Creek Art Festival posters. Using custom fabric printed with iconic festival poster art as patterns, campers will transform two-dimensional artwork into sculptural fashion. Final designs will be featured as a special retrospective installation at the 35th Annual Cherry Creek Art Festival.

Join CherryArts for a hands-on art-making experience and happy hour on the stunning Room and Board rooftop, led by Cherry Creek Arts Festival’s 2026 poster artist, Bennett!
During this workshop, Bennett will demonstrate her creative process as a self-taught artist. Participants will be provided with all the tools and supplies needed to create their own version of this year’s CCAF poster, Well Wishes and Dirty Dishes. No previous painting experience required.
