I love watching dance, any type of dance is an art. All the way from the hardcore Krump to the beautiful elegance of ballet 🩰
So on my bucket list is to go watch a beautiful ballet ( that’s if I ever get a gap to get out of my workshop on a weekend 😂)
I’m lucky as a creative soul I get to express myself through my cakes and even though some days I could literally crawl into a hole and sleep for 3 weeks, I’m blessed. I’ve got to know some fantastic people over the years and I’m still here doing my thing and I grow and gain more skills everyday.

This chocolate ganache class is the ONLY beginners baking class. There will NOT be any other actual baking classes. If you are a newbie, this is for you, and when I say newbie, if you have not worked with chocolate ganache before, then you are a newbie😊
This is the foundation to any beautiful cake, including fondant cakes.

I’m a very honest person, what you see is what you get, so I’ll say this, thank goodness im not trying to make it in film! There’s always something in the way!!😂
Then again, there is NOTHING glamorous about this work, you are stained from colour, have corn starch on your eyebrows and Nevermind what happens when you blow your nose after you’ve been airbrushing (especially blue)🤣🤣🤣
We hustle here on weekends to make things happen. I swear, the world could be exploding around me and I would still be going to get the job done, nothing else matters at that moment🙈😂
Some of you know Daniel in the bottom left, he’s getting a quick education on how to set this cake up. He does a great job, thankful to have him because he makes life a whole lot easier🙏

It had nothing to do with the occasion or the simplicity but it was just a beautiful cake. Wafer paper orchids, tall triple 6 inch ganache cake, everything just worked with this cake.

As it’s Autism awareness month, I think it’s important to share as I owe it to Reed to help others understand him better.
My boy is a gentle and kind kid with such a big heart. He just has more needs than the average person💙
Humble yourself for 10 minutes and try to communicate with a child who cannot verbally communicate with you, it’s amazing what you will see. There’s a magical little being in there, it’s pretty special 💙
We’ve been on this journey for almost 6 years now and it’s been quite a journey and I know I have many years ahead of me, but I do hope that by the time I kick the bucket, far more awareness will be spread and people will know what the humming/stimming is or how his body just goes into this stiff spasm of excitement (we think it’s quite hilarious now😂) because the brain is working, just way differently 💙
Autism is diagnosed by behavioural observation, there is no blood test💙

The bottom tier of this cake was a tall triple so that we could really drape as much material as we could without having a 3 tier. It just came together so well.

We got asked to make this very tall 8 tier, super intense anxiety for me, I won’t lie, but in all white with the piping, it was so awesome.
