Today, I had to sit & really talk & convince my kids to come with me to pay our respect to #JadenPierre π’ππ im honestly so proud of the way they handle it. Especially my daughter because she gets PTSD now going into parks. But she did amazing today! She even went back by herself a few times to look at #JadenPierre memorial. I just love thier Lil brave hearts today.
Today really showed me how much this really affected my family, like jaden was one of my own. Just watching my kids look at his memorial and tear up really broke my heart; But also made me proud because that just show me that they're starting thier healing journey. & not letting the weight of grief/fear get the best of them. So we shed a few tears, prayed a few prays , then i let them continue to play in that same park after for alil while (I think that helped also) I know we still got alot of healing to do, but this was the perfect start for us.

These boys keep me soo busy. And baby girl schedule bout to drive me crazy too....
That where I feel some parents fail their kids at. And y their kids choose the streets. Because yall dont show up for yall kids the way yall supposed too. Like, I know the government sucks and bills gotta get paid cuz prices is so high to live. But alot of parents dont even TRY to be there for their kids. As many Events, Games , Shows I been to for my kids and how many parents DONT ATTEND be so sad to see. I kno those kids wish they had someone there for them. Alot of these kids feel lonely, unseen & unimportant. Which causes them to do things they're not supposed too. Be around crowds they're not supposed to be around.
I feel as a PARENT, Try to get involved more with what ur kids are doing. Show genuine interest in what they are doing also( Not be aggravated that u have to be there if u do go) pour more into boosting your kids confidence by just being there and showing up when it matters. I be feeling so sad going to these games and none of them boys parents be showing up. I be cheering all them on, like im all their mama's. I dont be caring what team they on...Us as the parents just have to do better with connecting with our kids more, no matter how old they are. Guide them to do more postive things. Put them in environments where they are doing postive things. Try to rewire their brains to want better for themselves and its way more to life then the streets.
Thats just a few of my thoughts and what I been seeing in our communities π
I can really keep going but im not....mayb another time...
