(palm) sunday service 💒
this is probably the most seemingly off-brand piece for me and
@_eriknathaniel , but also easily the most personal. because when these girls entered our lives and brought so much love into them at a time when we unknowingly needed it the most, it just left no room for doubt in His.
so to coach
@sammywammybam , our WDC supermoms and dads, all of our dance daughters past and present, and everyone who helped co-write this story that we had the privilege of living and sharing — thank you. our lives have been changed by it forever. 🫂

one car ride home from training, i told erik that no matter what happens, i just knew that there was absolutely nothing that could take away from the intense feeling of pride that i had in the girls at the time.
and after a tough loss and a couple weeks of feeling all the feelings that demanded to be felt, pride is now the only feeling that remains, and it has only tripled in size. i will never forgot how far the girls pushed themselves (and each other!) out of their comfort zones for this piece, how they approached every challenge openness, bravery, and even excitement, and how they helped each other keep their chins up in the face of every obstacle down to those last few minutes before stepping onstage. and girls, you better believe i’m not going to let you forget it either. i am so, so proud of you all! our sunflowers 🌻
+ a special shout-out to our captains
@_briefernandez @amandamorallo who led the team with so much strength and tenacity (and the biggest type a energy), yet never left empathy and love out of the equation. ❤️
i cannoooot wait to watch you all dance this piece again in a couple months’ time! this time, how it was meant to be danced: complete, injury-free #plslord, and now without an ounce of pressure or pain. just a whooole lot of passion and praise. 🥹
