✂️ A wonderful ribbon cutting ceremony! On May 14th, Chinatown’s “Liberty Bell” dedication was held at the 10th Street Plaza. Chinatown’s bell, called “It Takes a Village,” was created by artists
@chenlin.cai and
@xingzi_liang as part of “Bells Across PA” with America250PA, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and community partner PCDC.
The bell’s design celebrates the history of Chinatown, the contributions of immigrant communities to our nation’s history, and a nod to the Year of the Horse with a Tang Dynasty horse relief. Tag us if you spot the Friendship Gate within the design!
