WHY I DECIDED TO FREEZE MY EGGS | PART 3 — EGG RETRIEVAL, RECOVERY & FINAL THOUGHTS
Sorry this took awhile! The recovery really sent me and then life got ahead of me. I wanted to really sit down and process it all before gathering my thoughts.
This one’s a bit more of a talkie and longer since I had to fit in so much, so I didn’t get to do a detailed price break down as I wanted to.
Would I recommend it? Only if you have the time, money and emotional capacity! It’s still a month long invasive medical procedure, and you may or may not use the eggs (not to mention, they might not be viable or your body might not take the fertilised embryo).
But if children is in the cards for you in the future, and you don’t see yourself settling down yet, I’d say go for it. It’s better when you’re younger, but $10-15k is still a feat so I’d say wait til the age where you’re financially able.
I also wrote about the experience on herworld.com if you’re more of a reader, DM if you want the link!

I’m still in the process of making the house look cute, which turns out, is also equally as tiring. Now I understand how rich housewives can just spend all their time decorating!! It really is a full time job and I refuse to buy interim stuff. Anyway here’s some pics from the entire reno process and my thoughts throughout the journey!!
Also shoutout @nallocks of @medium.specific for handholding me the entire way!!
I can’t believe I’m moving out in a couple of days!! I took this photo 4 years ago (peep the iPhone 8) when I had just moved into my apartment, depressed, not happy with my life and terrified of being on my own.
But even then, I knew that this apartment was the start of a new journey, one where I would heal and learn so much about myself and even more so as adult me.
This apartment has seen its fair share of tears, but it’s also seen its fair share of laughter and so many peaceful mornings and noisy nights.
It came to me at the right time, and now it’s time for me to move on to my big girl apartment where I am very excited to craft out a safe space, and continue to make it a home for family, friends, loved one’s, all future wayward baby gays and a potential receptionist cat.
I wish I chronicled more of it!! But enjoy what snaps I have + a couple from my other apartments. You’ll be seeing more of the new place soon!! From the reno journey + cute snaps of the completed house.
