Poodle isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to summer so we’re throwing one final huzzah down at the kennel! This time we’re doing it with our good friends from Sydney, Avia.
@avia_restaurant_ is a Sydney favourite known for warm hospitality, sharp cooking, and food that hits that sweet spot between comfort and finesse. Led by chef @chefstefano , the menu takes cues from Italian tradition and European flavours, driven by seasonality, quality produce, and a love of cooking meant to be shared.
The day unfolds as a two-part celebration…
We’ll kick things off with a stunning, multi-course $95 banquet from Avia at 1pm.
At 3pm we ease into the classic Poodle party we all know and love. Chef Stefano fires up the grill for the party portion, cooking late into the evening while @campbellburtonwines pours some primo vino and the tunes roll on.
Come for one, come for both — or settle in for the whole ride.

Throwback to this time last year, me @stovetrotter & @burnoutkid
getting busy with early morning foraging sessions, markets scouting, endless prep and last minute random supply runs.
4 dinners, 2 countries, many good meals shared and many passionate chefs met along the way, and ultimately just lots of fun!
Really inspiring to see what Singapore and local chefs are doing over there in the sustainability field.
We need more of that please!

@jundakhoo_hojiak with our Roast Pork, sambal ijo and pickled mustard tartare. Mussels, lemongrass, galangal, white wine, coconut milk. crab Bao!

While the past couple of years at Swillhouse have thought me a lot and enriched both my personal and professional baggage,it’s now time to take a lip of faith and adventure into something of my own.
Watching this giant baby come to life it’s been a rollercoaster and ultimately one of the hardest things I have done in my career and through the goods and the bads I wouldn’t change a thing about it.
Leaving a place where you have poured your heart and soul in to it’s always a bitter sweet feeling and leaving some of the people that have been there throughout the process it’s always the saddest part.
But I also feel this huge newborn is now in the hands of some very capable people and ultimately a bunch of legends.
Thanks for all the good times and all the support peeps , you know who you are.
