@chefnier blessing us with a special Concept 150 set tomorrow upstairs at our new(ish) intimate second room @cityannx . As usual with these chef special sets, you can expect a lot of non traditional club music, personal favourites and a more immersive listening experience over a dancing experience🧏 Meanwhile in the main room @citygridwrks , House DJs @toneasound & @callannfarrell will be playing an extended set keeping the main dancefloor active all night 💃🕺 See you tomorrow 👌

@escapademf chef is back 👨🏻‍🍳 and this time I’ll be on Mainstage ! Super stoked about returning to escapade for my 3rd time, but this time it feels even better as it’ll be my first time performing on the MainStage. Most of you know I’ve been steering away from Bass in my sets and putting a lot of emphasis on being mutli-genre, so this will be a perfect to showcase all the different styles I’m feeling lately. Still, there will deff be some bass in my set but this slot allows me to not be limited by just that genre 😊😊 Also peep the baby chef video from 2019 riverside 😭😂 See ya in the summer 🤞

For an event to have longevity, it needs to take on a life of its own. Following the path carved out by its community, while bending the original vision when necesary. Originally, ConcepThursdays was a lounge, sip & socialize event while DJs played non traditional club music. It revolved around easy listening, chill, alternative music. Unfortunately that has since been phased out on most nights with the growth of the event. We’re very happy that a lot of Concept’s original roots still shine bright 2.5 years later; DJs getting to play styles that reflect their personal preferences, every week being a different concept & continuing to gather groups of people coming with an open mind towards discovering new music. At the same time though, selfishly and to the remarks of most regulars from concept’s inception; we miss the early concept days and what has been lost as a result of the growth. This is why we are so excited to let you know that this week, we will be soft launching a new ‘’added concept’’ (lol). @cityannx , the upstairs room on top of @citygridwrks will be open every Thursday as second room for the event. Allowing attendees to bounce around from room to room and experience 2 different concepts on the same night. Annx on thursdays will be fully dedicated to bring back the original concept vision. Warm ambience, comfy couches, Loud enough to dance, but quiet enough to socialize and relax. (from chef) Above all else, this will bring it back to playing music from my personal library and be able to DJ with 0 pressure of making people dance or pumping up the energy of the club. It will be ALL about setting a nice vibe and sharing my favourite music with you, which most of you know is on the more low tempo side. Every week will feature a dedicated ‘’selector’’ to provide the music at annx, while downstairs at gridwrks will continue business as usual. I truly believe this will bring out the absolute best for concept, getting the best of both worlds: Allowing the event to continue to thrive and grow within the main room of gridwrks, while calling back to it’s original roots inside annx.
