To celebrate the one year anniversary of my husband’s recovery from cancer surgery, Leon and I are competing in our first bodybuilding show with the world’s largest bodybuilding organization, the National Physique League. The event is the Muscle Contest Challenge, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in conjunction with the LA Fitness Expo on January 25. I don’t post much about my fitness on this social media account, because the last time I posted about a fitness event, a music teacher told me I was sexualizing myself and not being a good role model for children. As you can imagine, that devastated me for months. Now I will compete to celebrate health: my own, and my husband’s. JUST ENGAGED! We are so thrilled for Leon’s daughter Olivia and her fiancé Brandon. What a wonderful visit, with adventures at San Diego Zoo, La Jolla beach, sunset watching, pool day at home, and absolutely perfect California weather. We loved every minute!
Last show the feedback I got was more inner thigh more arm mass.
When I stop improving I’ll stop competing. I’ll never stop bodybuilding. Till the day I die.
Next show will be spring of 2026.
