I made Armenian Manti. 🇦🇲 This was a really meticulous dish, it took about 3 hours from start to finish.
.
I’ve spent a little more time lately trying to dive into my ancestry. Every new lil tid bit that leads to more understanding keeps me going.

Happy Birthday Sunflower! 🌻
.
Ethan and I made these wooden cyanotypes for our friend Sunflower’s birthday. 🎂 What a joy it is to make art together as a couple and also, what fortune we have to celebrate our friend amongst friends! I am so thankful to know such beautiful and kind folks. And especially the light of everyone’s life, Sunflower. ❤️✨
.
Also, did you know that Sunflower and Redford share a birthday together? Two sweet beans, it makes so much sense.
Some rat and muskrat skull patches. 🐀💀
.
These are available for $15 for the large rat skulls (7 inches) and $10 for the smaller muskrat skulls (3 inches). They can come with iron on backing too if you’d like, no extra cost. They’re made for battle jackets or to be framed. ✨
.
You can DM me if you’re interested, and I can ship for $5 too.

The time has come where I start collecting preorders for these Nac Rat tees/tanks~! I am finished with my previous shirts and they’ll all be going out in the next couple of days. These shirts are all going to be screen printed with white ink by yours truly. It’s a great way for me to practice screen printing at my job. ☺️
.
I have options of Hemp, Yam and Espresso in Comfort Colors 100% Cotton Heavyweight Adult tees. I can also do youth sizes if desired. I am also doing a tank option in Port + Co’s 100% Cotton Sleeveless Tee in Jet Black.
.
I am leaving this preorder open all week and will be ordering shirts at the beginning of next week. Hop in if you’d like by sending me a DM. ✨
.
Thank y’all for so much support over my Nac Rat rendition. It was so fun to see everyone’s reaction at the makers market this past weekend. ❤️

I have finally made my rendition of the Nac Rat! 🐀 I’ve had this idea brewing around in my head for a couple of months and finally sat down to draw it up. This is also my first screen printed design~ my coworkers and boss have been really helpful and kind about making this design come to life!
.
I will have these iron on patches and some stitched patches, as well as a tote bag and a battle jacket back patch iron on at the makers market tomorrow (Sunday) at @fredoniabrewery 🍻 12-5!
.
I will also have some other patches and tote bags and cyanotype pieces as well if you’d like to come visit me. :) All of my prices will be sliding scale starting at 5 dollars.
.
This will be my first time vending in a while! I am excited and also a lil nervous, but I’m looking forward to it.
.
For those of you wanting shirts of this design, I will be posting more about that this week. I just finished Ethan’s xray shirts last night (it took me so long 🥲) and wanted to get those delivered/sent first before doing another shirt release. These shirts won’t take nearly as long thankfully bc they’re screen printed, but I still want to try and stay organized nonetheless. ✨
.
Also enjoy the bonus picture of my son. 🐶

Today, I worked on a personal project that involves solarfast cyanotype, embroidery and linocut block printing. Annnndddddd yes I have found a new favorite medium that combines all of my favorite things. Boy don’t I want to make a bunch of tshirts and bandanas and tote bags now!
.
I’ve been spending the day trying to rush make a bunch of different things for the Absurd Bird event at SFA with @firehouse.nac this Thursday. I want to have a variety of different things available for folks to snag.
.
But, what do you think of this shirt? I’m definitely keeping this one for myself, but would y’all ever buy some really customized shirts like this? Maybe I’ll make em once I’ve caught up with customs. ☺️
I spent the day cyanotyping beautiful flowers thanks to my sweet bean @efath89 for buying me a beautiful bouquet from @bothbloomstudio 💐
.
I will be selling these tonight at Haylee and Nathan’s anti-valentine’s day show at Maklemore’s. I am doing door, so come say hi and pick up a print if you’d like one! There are few more than what is pictured here.
.
Prints will range from $10-15 sliding scale! Come jam out and I can’t wait to see y’all! ✨🌺

I made Ethan’s broken wrist x-ray into a cyanotype shirt~ 🩻
.
I knew I was gonna do this as soon as he broke his wrist. 😂😅 What a great memento for a pretty shit circumstance. I always try and find a silver lining, I guess. ☺️
.
I made this first round of shirts for family and his student staff. It took a couple of weeks of experimenting to finally get it right. I do want to offer up another round if any of y’all want one! I can do sizes XS-6X and they are on Gildan soft style tees in the color “sand”. I’m asking for cost + $5 in labor per shirt, so $20 total. I really just want folks to wear these in solidarity (and a little in jest) with Ethan. ◡̈ Message me if you’d like one!
.
Also, serious shoutout to my friend Jenny (@ghostmouse_ ) for making the film negative that I needed to print these. Care instructions are on the 3rd slide if you wanna peep those before committing to one!
.
Much love to you all!

Tomorrow will be kinder. ☀️ Available ~ 90-120 sliding scale.
.
It’s been a really difficult time inside my brain lately. And I know that I’m not alone in feeling this. As someone who is typically really engaged in politics and social commentary, the state of our country has been weighing on me heavier and heavier.
.
I’ve been politically engaged since before I was a teenager. Learning about systems and ideology has always been interesting to me. Even when it’s been hard, even when I’ve learned things that I can’t avoid applying to my critical thinking. I’ve always been able to work through the apathy by rage listening to music, making art through the oppression, writing and journaling. It’s been a drudge lately, I’m stuck in a near constant state of depression/anxiety.
.
I recognize that I experience life with the ability to be able to separate myself from it all at times. How that is a privilege in itself. I’ve been reading so many books about systems and history. I can’t not see what I learn from these books in what I see happening in the world. Maybe this is part of getting older and continuing to learn, though. I can’t always find joy like I used to. I’m not sure what to do about it.
.
I am finding comfort in exploring new mediums, though. I have really enjoyed working in textiles, cyanotypes, and embroidery. I’m trying to channel the patience I’ve gained through stained glass and apply it to these new crafts. Even if I can’t find joy and fulfillment out of making something super cool and new, I am still pushing myself to not lose my curiosity.
.
I made this piece in several different places and mindsets. What’s so cool about hand sewing is that you can work on it anywhere. I listened to politics, history podcasts, books and watched some drama TV while working on this. Maybe these mediums give my brain a different ability to focus and keep me from dissociating. That’s cool too.
.
I’ve never sold anything like this before. I am nervous to do it today. But, I do know that I want someone to have this in their home as a reminder that we can take life one day at a time. We can look forward to the next day and hope it is kinder.
.
I love you all. ❤️
