“it’s powerful to feel so alone in a group” the african american experience is indifferent from most. being othered in society causes generational turmoil and through this project we worked together in hopes of finding grounding in our authenticity. nothing to glamorize the existence of ourselves but to continue to live as the most authentic version of ourselves. In this society, It feels like African American culture is commercialized. This is a reminder to all of “US” that we are stronger than societies ideal stereotypes. You shouldn’t apologize for being you, nor should you feel bad for standing up for yourself and your people. But seriously, Do You See Us?
