One thing I found myself doing a lot last year was filming and editing recap videos for live shows.
It's a great gig! I get paid to capture incredible live music and then I'm tasked with distilling that experience into a 30 second video.
I'm gonna be real with you, I'm great at it.
It's not just picking the best clips and editing them into a montage. You have to find the moments that recreate the feeling of being there. You have to piece it together so that those moments hit at just the right time in the music. And you have to do all of this in 30 seconds.
Here are a few of those 30 second experiences I've created. I hope I can continue to create more.
