AD~GIFTED @cheatwellgames Long Cow, an Udderly ridiculous card game! It’s the Moo-Mentous Card Game of Competitive Cattle Construction! The game plays fairly quickly (about 20-30 mins) and is a perfect mix of take-that, set collection, and deck building Build cows by collecting heads, tails, and middles from the deck. The longer the cow, the more points you score Race to build the longest, silliest cows by collecting heads, middles and tails. The longer the cow, the more points you score! Holy Cows, Robot Cows - even a Franken Cow - add to the madness. But beware: tornadoes and alien abductions can snatch your prize bovine at any moment. Round up the biggest herd and party like the cows came home! Play time approximately 20 minutes Finding the right moment to steal a long cow without getting thwarted, protecting your most valuable cattle with a barn or branding, knowing when to draw cards or playing it safe to get the cow parts you need...there is plenty to think about #AD #cheatwell #Longcow #familyfun #familygames

Funga : @outsetmediagames Funga is a pattern building game where you carefully place mushrooms into shared formations, trying to complete secret mission cards. The details: Title: Funga Designer: Kedric Winks Publisher: Outset Media Player count: 2-4 players Time: 15-20 minutes The gameplay: At the start of the game, players take a hand of mission cards showing different mushroom formations they are trying to create. On your turn, you place one mushroom piece into the shared forest, either adjacent to existing mushrooms or overlapping matching mushroom types. Mushrooms can even merge together if they overlap correctly, creating larger connected patterns across the table. If the exact arrangement shown on one of your mission cards appears anywhere in the forest after your placement, you immediately discard that mission card. Since everyone is building in the same space, players are constantly helping and disrupting each other’s plans at the same time. The first player to complete all of their mission cards wins the game. My thoughts: This was a fun little game. I like how simple the rules are while still allowing interesting decisions. The overlapping and merging rules were my favourite addition and it made for some nice moments where you could score multiple cards. There is a little balance between planning ahead and reacting to what other players are building. Sometimes another player accidentally sets up the perfect pattern for you, while other times they completely ruin what you were working towards. It also helps that the mushroom artwork looks great on the table and gives the whole game a really cosy feel. Overall, Funga is an accessible game with a fun puzzle. A nice filler, I definitely prefered Flora but this is a nice match to it in the box. AD: this game was sent for the purposes of review via the @ukbg_review_circle but all views remain my own, unbiased thoughts. Earlier today I posted my review of the “Flora” game in Flora Funga, so now let's review the mushroom themed game in this two in one board game! ___ 🍄 Funga - Board Game Review 🍄 ✏️ @cheatwellgames @outsetmediagames 👥 2 - 4 Players 🕔 25 Mins 🧩 (Part of Flora Funga) At the edge of a lush meadow grows strange and beautiful mushrooms in all different patterns amongst blades of grass.. players must each create different mushroom patterns using the tokens to score points! Complete individual missions and score the most points to win! ___ 🍄 My Foraged Thoughts 🍄 • A standout feature for me was that the rulebook contains information about each of the mushrooms represented in the game so you can learn about them! I learnt lots of fun new mushroom facts, which was an added bonus. • Just like the dandelion tokens in Flora, the mushroom tokens in Funga are well made and look like real mushroom caps. So cute! • The bee meeples used in Flora are reused in this game - big fan of reusing components! (Especially as they are so cute) • I enjoyed making the puzzly patterns with the mushrooms and trying to be strategic by working out if it was possible to gain extra points based on where I placed the tokens. • The addition of the power tokens was appreciated as it adds an extra layer of depth to the game. • I did find it a bit boring at two player but I think it would be ideal at 3 or 4 as it would create more chaos and disrupt more plans so you have to think a bit more before placing. • Once missions on cards are complete, I think you should have to discard them and pick up a new one. I found it a bit repetitive doing the same missions, and it made it very lucky based as it depends on what cards you get. Some people would get easier cards to complete than others. ___ Out of these two great nature games, I think Flora has to be my favourite! I just felt it flowed a bit better and was a bit more “puzzly”. 📢 Cheatwell Games will be at UKGE so make sure to check them out if you're interested in the 2 in 1 board game! 📦 This game was loaned for review by @cheatwellgames via @ukbg_review_circle - all opinions are my own! 💕

In my previous post I featured “Flora Funga” - a board game with two games in one! So first up, let's review Flora! 💐 ___ 🌼 Flora - Board Game Review 🌼 ✏️ @cheatwellgames @outsetmediagames 👥 2 - 4 Players 🕔 15+ Mins 🧩 (Part of Flora Funga) This game has a beautiful theme, as it's based on the life cycle of a dandelion! Players will have to predict and guide the shifting patterns of the dandelions to complete their individual mission cards. Once a player has completed all their cards, they have won! This is a puzzly placement game where you'll be placing one dandelion piece on each turn, trying to copy the diagram on your cards. Dandelion pieces have to be placed in the order of growth, so be strategic! ___ 🌼 My Thoughts in Bloom 🌼 • As I mentioned above, it's such a beautiful theme for a game and it has been produced with high quality. I love all the little dandelion tiles and the super cute bee meeples! • It's easy to learn and quick to play! Anyone in the family could enjoy this. I found it actually easier to get rid of cards than I expected - but this does also depend on a bit of “luck of the draw”! • I enjoyed the light touch of dexterity that this game had. It requires a gentle touch but you don't have to be overly dexterous to win! • I do think that the dexterity element could've been made into an additional game mode, as currently, you don't get punished if flowers get knocked over. • It's clever how the flowers blow away after a few turns, but you can see this on the tracker too - so you can strategically prepare! But this does give me another idea for an extra game mode.. a mode where you don't know when the wind blows! • The bottom plants could be slightly larger as it was hard to fit everything onto one tile, and sometimes cards required this. ___ Overall, a lovely quick little game. I loved getting to see dandelions being the star of the show and getting some love, as they don't often! 📢 @cheatwellgames will be at @ukgamesexpo , so go check them out to see more about Flora Funga in person! 📦 This game was sent for review by @cheatwellgames via @ukbg_review_circle - all opinions are my own! 💕

The girls have officially entered their competitive era thanks to Long Cow 😂🐮 ad @cheatwellgames And honestly… this game is SO simple but SO funny 😭👏 Watching them try to make the longest cow while also sabotaging each other’s plans every 2 seconds had me crying 😂🫠 This is exactly the type of game I love as a mum because: ✔️ easy to learn ✔️ quick to play ✔️ keeps them entertained ✔️ doesn’t require me reading a 47-page instruction manual first 😭 Also can we appreciate games that get kids laughing THIS much without screens involved? Absolute win 👏✨ Family game nights have genuinely become one of our favourite little traditions lately and this one has already been added to the “play again immediately” pile 😂🐮 If your kids love silly games, chaos and a little competition… Long Cow is SUCH a good one xx Get it from @cheatwellgames Who’s the most competitive person in your house? 👀😂 #familygames #boardgames #mumlife #kidsactivities #familygamenight cheatwell longcow ukmums gifted

Double the fungi! Flora Funga contains two entirely separate games played on the same game board which doubles as the box! In Flora, you complete mission cards matching the present dandelions in the required life stages on the board. Funga is an asymmetric game with different player powers in which you take turns to place mushrooms in certain cluster constellations to score precise configuration cards. Both games are a lot of fun(gi), have a high level of interaction, and the box and insert design is nifty! Available from @cheatwellgames , it is in-store and on our website now!

Flora Funga | Two Sides of the Same Forest 🍄🌼 @ukgamesexpo STALL 3A - 318 @kedric_boardgame_design has done it again! He and Cheatwell Games have created an accessible and fun game, but there is a twist… It’s actually two separate games using the same magnetic wrap-around board. If you like pattern matching and that satisfying feeling of emptying your hand, this is one to look at. The Flora Side | The Dandelion Race 🌼 This is all about card shedding! (One of my favorite mechanics) HOW DO I WIN Complete mission cards by placing dandelion pieces to match patterns on the board. There is a catch… pieces you play can and will help your opponents too. I hated giving Liam easy wins! You’re racing to get rid of your cards first, but the shifting winds mean the board state is constantly changing. When you reach the dandelion head space on the score board, all dandelion heads fly off! Timing is everything here, otherwise you might build up and miss your opportunity to score that tricky card (like I did). The Funga Side | The Mushroom Puzzle 🍄 This side leans much harder into spatial pattern scoring. HOW DO I WIN Earn the most points by satisfying scoring cards based on mushroom arrangement. You’re connecting pieces into specific clusters and shapes to bank points. Each player gets a unique power token for an advantage. For example, my scoring cards were hidden whereas usually they’re public knowledge! You’re constantly weighing whether to build your own pattern or use a move to block someone else. Our thoughts The magnetic dual-use board is great. Flora is the better fast-paced option, while Funga is for when you want to sit and think about your placement. A solid abstract strategy game disguised as a “cosy” nature title. Don’t let the dandelions fool you, it’s a puzzle through and through. I’m team Funga and Liam is team Flora! I preferred Funga because I had bad hands during Flora and got frustrated at how easily Liam could score cards haha. Kindly gifted for content creation - all thoughts are our own. #boardgames #ukge2026

I’m not even exaggerating when I say my girls have been OBSESSED with Flora & Fauna from @cheatwellgames 🌼🍄 ad And honestly? I get the hype 😂 The pieces are SO cute, the game is easy enough for kids to enjoy without needing a full TED Talk explanation from mum first, and it actually keeps them entertained 👏 Which as a mum… feels like a rare luxury these days 😭🫠 We’ve been loving family game nights lately because it gets the girls off screens, using their brains and getting ridiculously competitive with each other 😂 Also can we appreciate games that are genuinely pretty to look at?? The little details in this one are adorable ✨ Definitely one of those games that ends with: “Can we play again?” …and somehow I’m saying yes too 👀😂 If your kids are into animals, nature, cute characters and a little competition… this one’s SUCH a good shout xx Get it from @cheatwellgames What’s your family’s current favourite game night game? 👀🎲 #boardgames #familygames #mumlife #kidsactivities #familygamenight cheatwell floraandfauna ukmums gifted

📣 Review 🦍 Ape Town 🦍 🦍 Gangs of apes armed with bananas are battling over territory in Ape Town, whilst the Lemurs try to keep the peace and gain the most influence along the way. 🐵 I only played this at 2 players and at first I thought it felt a little too simple. I wasn’t sure how much depth there was going to be between the tile drafting and placement but I was proven very wrong very quickly 😂 🦍 As the game develops you really start thinking ahead with your placements, blocking areas, planning future turns and trying to control the board. For such simple mechanics there’s actually a lot more going on than I first expected. 🐵 I think this would make a really good gateway game into tile placement and area control games. The rules are easy to pick up and I could see it working really well with younger players too, whilst still giving enough strategy to keep gamers interested. 🦍 The only thing I personally would’ve loved is slightly more deluxe influence markers. The plastic discs do the job perfectly fine, I just love chunky satisfying components whenever I can get them 😂 🐵 I’d also really like to try this again at 3 or 4 players because I think the area control side would become much more competitive and chaotic in the best way. 🦍 Overall I came away really pleasantly surprised by Ape Town. I definitely judged it too quickly based on its simplicity, but it ended up being a really fun time at the table 🦍 🦍Game published by @outsetmediagames @cheatwellgames 🧡Provided by @ukbg_review_circle

Flora Funga 🌼🍄 [Ad] kindly gifted by @cheatwellgames @outsetmediagames and the great designer @kedric_boardgame_design Flora Funga is a clever little 2 in 1 game, with the board acting as the box lid! Now I have always said I would be honest in my reviews so I must say Funga unfortunately didn't work for me, but I really love Flora! And Flora itself is worth it for this lovely little game! In Flora players build up dandelions, trying to match their patterns, which was chosen by a pass hand mechanism at the start. But beware....when the wind blows all those dandelions that are now puffballs (yes I've googled this term) fly away! So you need to time when you develop the dandelions to match your pattern before the wind she blows! Flora is a quick game that I happily played three times on the trot, I might add losing all 3...it is quick to set up and tidy away and works great at 2 players. Funga is similar with creating patterns however, you can score the cards multiple times, and can block others a lot easier. Personally I couldn't get my head around the scoring and some score cards are a lot better than others. However, this could simply be a misunderstanding on my part and I'm sure there are others that Funga clicks with. The artwork and components for both games are bright, colourful and well made, with a two sided flip style rule book and a very handy box insert keeping the two games separate! The box size works for the wrap around magnetic board but not so great for a kallax. Flora Funga can be seen at @ukgamesexpo at the @cheatwellgames stand, please note all pictures relate to Flora only!

I love any sort of game with a nature theme, so when I got the opportunity to review Flora Funga by @outsetmediagames and @cheatwellgames I was very excited, as it's two nature games in one! 🌼 The first game is Flora - all about the different stages of growth that a dandelion goes through, mixed with puzzly placement game mechanics. 🍄 The second game is Funga - teaching you about the different types of mushrooms there are, whilst also being another fun puzzly placement game.. but plays very differently to Flora! ___ 📝 I will be reviewing both of these games individually, so look out for posts about each of these within the next couple days! ___ 📦 The Clever Box Design 📦 It's very clever to combine two games in one. I haven't seen a concept quite like this before! Cleverly, the box unravels as the outside of it is magnetically attached, and doubles as the game board! This is used in both Flora and Funga. All the pieces for each game are neatly packed into the box, whilst still being secure. I was a bit worried that the magnet wouldn't be secure enough, as I have experienced issues with past games with these magnetic boxes.. but I can assure you your games are safe in this! The bee meeples are also shared for both games, which is a great use of resources - no need for extra pieces (helps that they are so cute too!) ___ ❓Which game are you most intrigued by? Would you play Flora or Funga first? 📦 This game was sent to me for review via @ukbg_review_circle - all opinions are my own! 💕
