I think february might be my new favorite month. cozy snow days make the miserable slush puddles worth it. yaaaaay for being black. beginning of pisces season. community, community, community. I feel on top of the world in a chic coat and scarf combo. valentine’s day celebrations with all the cuties. alignment and ease. the “black history month sliding into my birthday and (slightly) warmer weather” transition will always eat.

Weekly Recap 49 (2025): I’m currently sitting at Café Nin in Mexico City after just arriving yesterday from Oaxaca. And as I sit here trying to find the perfect mixture of words and phrases that would encapsulate my week there, nothing comes. Only this deep gratitude that I feel, unexpectedly and even almost abashedly, welling up in my eyes. It was magic. It was as if the universe was orchestrating this master plan for everything to fall right in my path, each character on my Alice in Wonderland journey to share small little pinch me moments that will stay with me forever. Of course, in rereading this before posting I was hesitant that this was coming off a little melodramatic and maybe it is. And maybe that’s fine. And maybe these photos can say all the things that I couldn’t. Gracias Oaxaca, mi regalito del universo.
Weekly Recap 44-48 (2025): I haven’t posted a recap in sooo long partly because life has been so bizzzzy but also simply because I didn’t feel like it. well, my desire to share my life with strangers on the internet has been found again so enjoy some of these momentitos de alegría, especially the last slide which is the only acceptable reaction after listening to Olivia Dean, Zara Larsson, and/or Rosalia’s 2025 albums.
Weekly Recap 41 (2025): what’s it like renting a cabin with 13 of your closest friends and not only partying/throwing ass together (obvi) but also doing an opening ceremony where you share your intentions for the weekend, cooking together, making too many messes, cleaning together, throwing a “no phones” talent show where one of the acts [redacted], hosting a morning wellness session filled with affirmations, light stretching and ending with a sound bath, making s’mores with Reese’s cups as the chocolate, sweating in the month of October during apple picking, playing the most fun game everrrr, shedding a few tears, crafting the cutest shrink a dink key chains for each other, making friends with a deer that visits you all every night, and sharing lots and lots of hugs? well, it’s pretty damn special.
Weekly Recap 38 (2025): This is the first video I took after checking into my Airbnb and walking around the neighborhood that I was staying in. You can hear it in my voice how shocked I was to capture something that felt like it belonged in the opening credits of a Disney movie, lol. It had set the perfect tone for my trip and I knew from that moment that this was going to be a special few days.
Amsterdam reminded me of the beauty in exploration, being uncomfortable, how much I can enjoy my solitude, and truly just going with the flow (something I’m constantly working on). It was the most peace I’d felt in a long time. It’s funny how our perspectives shift when we travel somewhere that we never been before, experience other cultures, walk different streets. I hope that this curiosity of the world and the bubbly feeling of novelty stays with me, even just a hint, and I’m so grateful to Amsterdam for reminding me of the beauty in the simplest, smallest, and most “regular” of things.
