YUSH!!! The fact that you're seeing this post right now only means one thing, celebrations are in order!! I originally wanted to do this with a few of my friends in Seattle but the deal wasn't finalized til I was here in Philly. But it's all good fellas, I got you when I get back! So what are celebrating anyway? Well, we're celebrating the fact that one of my songs has been licensed by Apple TV to appear in their upcoming series "LUCKY" ft Anya Taylor-Joy. This is a great opportunity for me since I own 100% of the writing and publishing of the song meaning I get the full licensing fee and my publishing company (Masse-One Publishing) will appear in the credits. The song will appear in episode 2 of the series and I haven't seen it but did get the synopsis of the scene and I believe the great actress Annette Bening will be in the scene. I know that 1.5 minutes of the song is used, not sure how since they requested the full song and instrumental. The song used is called "Satisfaction" from my 2006 CD The Parlor so it will appear under my former artist name of DJ Collage. It is playing inna background of one of the clips in this post. This situation is also another reminder that you should NEVER stop believing in your works because when I first made this CD, Seattle called it trash and now 20 years later, Apple TV called it treasure and I'm able to afford a momentary piece of "Bougie" for myself here in Rittenhouse Square!! Again, the Amazon Pick Up spot is great. Easy and fast and the girl working was friendly and nice, but the neighborhood is a no go for the ChatAttak! A woman even frowned at me and I was wearing my suit! LOL!! I'm definitely using the Amazon service again, but otherwise you won't see me around here. It honestly didn't even seem like Philly. SEATTLE- So, what's the scenario? Well, after losing half my income last December, having repeated poorly attended events and just a low vibrational feeling overall, I had to accept that I had started to sink in Seattle and my livity had been greatly compromised. And to continue to stay here would be commiting spiritual suicide so I knew my only option was to get out. Philadelphia came on my radar so I decided to go spend some time there just to see if there was a vibe, and within a short amount of time, I found a job and a new place. The day I posted that "Champion" video was the day I signed my lease. So, it's official, I am now a resident of the 215!! I'll be returning there at the beginning of next month to start my new job. Now, it'll take some time to gather and extract all my things from here so I'll be in and out over the next couple months and hopefully totally out by June. Only time will tell if Philly is the ultimate best fit for me, but I know for now that Seattle isn't. So operation "Exit the Emerald" is in effect mode..let's set this jawn off!!
