Innovation advancing bridge rehabilitation in Connecticut. CHA applied Ultra‑High Performance Concrete (UHPC) on two critical bridges, the Commodore Hull Bridge and the Dexter Coffin Bridge, using first‑of‑their‑kind approaches to address aging infrastructure, restore capacity, and extend service life. At the Commodore Hull Bridge, UHPC supported emergency repairs to steel truss gusset plates on a CTDOT major bridge. At the Dexter Coffin Bridge, UHPC strengthening was combined with structural repairs to maintain traffic while addressing complex rehabilitation needs. These projects have been recognized with CHA’s 2025 Pillar of Excellence Innovation Awards, honoring work that continues to move bridge rehabilitation forward. #theCHAway

Designed for students. Built for the future. The Reading High School Innovation Academy will soon be home to up to 1,000 high school students in Reading, PA, offering a purpose-built campus focused on collaboration, innovation, and career-ready education. As Construction Manager, CHA worked with the design team at SCHRADERGROUP to deliver a school that blends traditional academics with hands on, career focused learning. The academy was designed around four specialized career pathways, creating a hybrid model that supports learning opportunities for the diverse future workforce of the region and beyond. Congratulations to our PMCM team and all involved in bringing this innovative learning environment to life! #theCHAway

Milestones like this remind us why collaboration matters. CHA’s Fire Protection team was thrilled to participate in the Topping Out of Tampa General Hospital’s new Surgical, Neuroscience & Transplant Pavilion. This 13-story, 565,000 SF project marks a major step forward in healthcare design and delivery. As the fire sprinkler contractor, CHA is helping the A/E team bring a thoughtfully designed fire protection system to life, supporting a facility built for innovation and community impact. Signing the "last structural beam" was an honor and a moment of shared pride for everyone involved. #theCHAway

Innovation engineered for one of Boston’s most complex corridors. In a design-build partnership with Skanska, CHA reimagined how critical infrastructure can be replaced without disruption. The Maffa Way and Mystic Avenue bridge replacement spans seven active rail lines beneath I‑93, delivered using ultra‑shallow steel girders, accelerated construction, and strategic reuse of existing substructures. The result: a resilient, low‑maintenance solution that improves multimodal connectivity and keeps the region moving safely and efficiently. We’re proud to see this project honored with CHA’s 2025 Pillar of Excellence Infrastructure Award, a 2026 ACEC Massachusetts Engineering Excellence Silver Award supporting MassDOT’s Complete Streets and Vision Zero goals, and an ACEC National Recognition Award. #theCHAway
