Today I had the pleasant surprise of State Representative James Talarico stopping by my booth at the San Antonio Rodeo. @sanantoniorodeo We talked about my story, small business, and community, and then he supported my work by shopping for his niece. That matters. Showing up, listening, and supporting small businesses in real ways says a lot about a leader. Still processing this moment, but here’s a little video of me showing him some dresses for them. Grateful for conversations like this and for leaders who truly show up. Ps ignore the typo on the video title.

When her daughter was a toddler, Melissa Rojas’ husband told her: “I’m not in love with you anymore.” Moving back to the Rio Grande Valley felt like defeat at first, but raising her daughter and reconnecting with her Mexican roots inspired a whole new dream. Read more at the link in bio. __ #latina #texas #chasingcamilla #motherdaughter #breakup #divorce #infidelity

There’s something really special about realizing a dream you carried quietly for years is finally existing in front of you. This space may be temporary, but the dream never was. My best friend sent me a little reminder, the other day. Since high school, I always imagined owning a store surrounded by blue. Blue denim, blue decor, blue tones everywhere. If you know me, you know blue has always followed me through life, from my quinceañera dama dresses being teal, to our logo, to the calming feeling those tones have always given me. But I realized… my love for blue goes deeper than aesthetics. It comes from my roots. From being a little girl working in the blueberry fields alongside my parents. From my first official job at 14 in a blueberry factory. From watching my parents work endlessly as migrants just trying to build a better life for us. Back then, there were moments I cried. Moments I felt embarrassed. Moments I didn’t understand why our life looked different. I was bullied at times and wished things felt easier. But growing up teaches you perspective. And now I see the beauty, sacrifice, strength, and love behind everything my parents were trying to do. So this space, every shade of blue, every detail, every dream inside of it, is a tribute to that little girl in those photos. The little girl who once felt small but never stopped dreaming big. And now, in real time, we get to witness her dreams becoming reality. A reminder that no matter where you come from, no dream is ever too big for your little heart to desire. . This week we’re announcing our grand opening space, for our temp space. Con @edge80one ! So Stay tuned, we really hope to see you all there.

Linda Garcia is my bestie est. 1999 She’s one of the most intelligent people I know. When she walks into a room she captivates your attention with her beauty, but keeps it with her intelligence and charisma. She has accomplished so much… but mark my words: Linda Garcia for president! Anyway, she has a podcast, @investiespodcast thank thank, where she teaches us about investing, community, and opening our eyes to opportunities many of us weren’t taught about growing up. For a special Mother’s Day episode, Benicio, her son, who also happens to be Cami’s second cousin, interviewed Camila This episode is extra special and close to my heart. Please give it a listen… and while you’re there, binge the rest too! Linda is truly about her community and creating spaces that empower and educate others.
