Quick story time: one of the best things people tell me after watching @chasingamydoc is that they watch GO FISH. So, it was a major honor to introduce Ms. @guinevereturner to the stage to some thunderous applause celebrating her and @rosetrocheofficial ’s groundbreaking work at Sundance ‘94—a film that broke major ground in the New Queer Cinema movement, and a total game changer in lesbian cinema.
The purpose of us all going up on stage was to talk about the future of queer filmmaking. It’s my sincerely held belief we learn so much from the films that have come before so we can know where we can go. Onward!
Thank you to @glaad , @newfest , and @frameline for inviting me to share the stage and to join in on some much-needed queer fellowship in Park City. ❤️

The Oscar noms are in, an THE ALABAMA SOLUTION has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature.
One of the besties, @esme.colorist , was the Colorist for the film. Make no mistake: Esmé is one of our greatest living colorists and she deserves endless recognition. In fact, I’m flying to Sundance right now to see her work on GIVE ME THE BALL. I’m so proud to be her friend and collaborator—on @chasingamydoc , @pancake.skank , and the Found Footage Feature Fund we’ve put together at the @transfilmcenter .
Esmé, I fucking love you and hope this takes you to even bigger heights!!! Someday we’ll take a photo when we’re not crossfaded at a film festival, but today is not that day. LFG!!
