Sometimes an entire city feels like a song. The cliches about rhythm in the streets seems to ring true as some places harmonize with a chapter I’m living out. This was 2023 at my Aunt and Uncle’s place up on Russian Hill. I mean on top of the hill with a full unobstructed of the entire bay. Between writing and walking the dog and eating and exploring, I’d simply watch the city from a God-like perch, floating above others living out their own chapters. My Uncle’s telescope offered an up close view of said inhabitants. A fine line was drawn between obtrusive and free for observation that, once found, created an interesting little view from afar/up close. A way to experience the millions of chapters sauntering along in every direction. God is always watching it seems, cliche or not. Also a note about the Angsty Film School Student nature of this edit. It marches. Best to let it be what it wants. San Fransisco always felt like Philip Glass to me so the choice was likely already made before I even arrived. ⚾️
