Taking a moment... Yesterday was tough, As I drove to Whiskey to greet everyone for check in I spoke to our daughter and she let me know it was Iowa soldiers that had been killed in Syria, as some know we are a military family both our kids are military, and her unit is deployed right now. (she is States side) To say the emotions hit hard is an understatement. Santa had to take over check in and I apologize for that. We had some regulars on the trolley last night that received a call from family that let them know this horrible attack took a soldier that was related to them. Our hearts and prayers go out to them and their families. After the trolley left Whiskey River I took a moment and I had someone I consider a friend now come ask what had happened, I explained, and then I said but you know what it makes all the little stuff not matter. We have had a lot of mean, and demanding customers, ( mostly emails and calls) yep I said it out loud...We have been so worried about the little things and making everyone happy....It was -10 last night and the trolleys were freezing up, it was cold we did our best, but in the end this stuff does not matter...Just ask the military families.... Support each other, be nicer, be kinder to random people!!! You don’t know what is going on in their lives.
