At the end of last term, our school community came together for our inaugural Spring Concert at Charterhouse Lagos, Feel the Rhythm - a celebration of music-making across the school from Year 1 through to Year 9. The purpose of this concert was simple but important: to showcase ensemble performance and give every student the opportunity to contribute as part of a group. These moments give real purpose to learning, developing listening, collaboration, discipline and confidence. From our youngest students in Year 1 taking their first steps in structured performance, through to our KS3 ensembles demonstrating increasing musical independence, the progression across the programme was clear to see. Each performance reflected the work taking place in lessons, particularly through our Class Instrumental Programme. Students supported one another, stayed focused, and performed with commitment - a fantastic experience and one that truly brings music to life beyond the classroom.
