Cyanotype photography is similar to poetry for us. It conveys all the words we are unable to express. The deep Prussian blue opens the door to a parallel world and adds a mystical element to the subject. This monochromatic effect invites the eye to rest and wander to imaginary worlds. We invite you to escape reality and find peace and beauty through this powerful color.

Our creative journey started somewhere in the Mediterannean sea.
We flaw high above clouds and majestic mountains.
We dove deep into cold waters, roaring rivers and blue oceans.
We knelt down to humbly observe the smallest of creatures.
We saw the land boiling and smoking but also covered by tones of ice.
We saw nature transform, bloom and grow.
We paused to breathe and connect with our planet earth.
We take it all in and we capture the striking beauty that surrounds us through the cyanotype technique.

Our very first exhibition was 10 years ago… We were full of ideas and a deep hunger to create together. Over the years, we explored cyanotypes on paper, ceramics, clothing, accessories, lamps… we were all over the place 😁 but everything was made with so much love and joy.
A decade later, we’ve refined our focus into something more meaningful and more intentional. We’re excited (and curious!) to see what the next 10 years will bring for Kyano.

Our very first cyanotype workshops ✨
After years of thinking about it, and so many of you asking… we finally did it.
This first experience was incredibly enriching for us. Sharing our process, our way of working, and spending time exploring cyanotype together felt both natural and deeply meaningful.
We’re so grateful to all the participants who trusted Kyano and @charles_devoyer as their teacher for these first workshops. Thank you for your curiosity, your energy, and your presence.
And a special thank you to @lestroisbains for the invitation and for welcoming us into such a beautiful space.
