A center that lets me know that there is a place where I belong, place where I am loved and that deserves all of the care and attention that we have within us.
I never could have imagined finding as much beauty and wonder as I have in our relationship.
Every second I spend in your company is a moment that I cannot believe that this world is real.
You are like no one in this planet.
You have an energy that shakes up everything around you. You are sexy, beautiful, graceful, fucking hilarious, unreltentlesly intentional in every move you make. Nothing about you seems scripted, conventional, expected, automated. You are inspired in every action you do and you inspire and excite every second of my life. I’m so fucking in love with you and everything about you.
You are the utmost ultimate opposite of an NPC. You are the main character… at least of my life. You are protagonist of this epic love poem that my life has become since I met you. Nothing seems small since we’re together. Everything, event the most mundane moment, seems magnified by the largest scale… and is so fucking fun.
This is evident in the amazing projects we’ve done together. The impossible accomplishments that weve been able to pull off. It is evident in our beautiful son and family that we’re growing without missing a beat of anything else that we want to do.
Being with you feels like knowing -as a self evident truth- that nothings is impossible and that we never have to settle in the face of any fear or challenge.
I know for fact, that this kid we’re raising is going to grow up to have the most amazing life. Sinn Simón will never lack anything and will live in a surreal world that we’re making for him.
I believe that all of this magic that you make possible stems from your unrelenting will to power.

This was a total dream, Cha and Chapi are endlessly inspiring. We had so much fun thinking about all of Bong’s influences: kids rollerblading in Battambang, the colors of kreung, hand-painted Khmer signs, Pee-Wee’s playhouse, plush peacock blankets, and smiley faces :) We landed on a “logo buffet” that embodies Bong’s immaculate vibes. Fred drew all 15 logos embracing all the weird and wonderful mish-mashing of Khmer and Latin forms, grateful to collaborate with such a talented friend.
So proud to finally have a Khmer space in Brooklyn where we can connect to our culture. Bong feels like our home and our future. Do yourself a favor and go asap!!

Chef Owners Chakriya (Char) and Alexander (Chapi) built Bong (Khmer for older sibling or dear friend) by hand—literally. Friends made the lights, they painted the mural, and Char’s mother caught the fish. At the heart of their food is kreung: a fermented Cambodian paste of garlic, galangal, lemongrass, and home. Every dish is a story: sour soups from Char’s mother, fish mint from an aunt’s backyard, substitutions that honor the spirit of tradition. More than a restaurant, Bong is a space for Cambodian culture to thrive in NYC.

I am so happy that this kids gets to have you as a mother, no one has more love and wonder for life than you, and you share it so deeply. Rollerbladers at the 50th year anniversary of the end of the American war in Vietnam.
War is hell but there is much to celebrate from this defeat of imperialism’s gross imposition over the world. Truly an inspiration to so many people facing oppression from the evil colonial war machine that’s still rampant to this day. Resistance will never stop.
