When I made this art in 2024, I was trying to come to terms with my own spot on the spectrum. The easiest way for me to start processing hard things is cracking jokes and drawing silly pictures.
I had always felt “different”. Like the rest of the world was operating on a slightly different speed than I was. I knew nothing about the diverse range of ASD, and felt intense shame at the “normal” things I struggled with as a neurodivergent femme.
I’m so thankful that I had a burnout breaking point that led me to start looking for answers! I’m so thankful for science and doctors and therapists and other neurodivergent people!!
Congrats to everyone whose life has been improved by a diagnosis!! Learning about how your brain works so you can make your life as good as possible is very cool and sexy!!

It’s our final First Friday at @caspstudio.f and I have big feelings about it! Easy feelings and hard ones. I’m so thankful for this space that has held me through some of the hardest years of my life. I’ve celebrated HUGE wins here. I’ve met beautiful, incredible people.
