•Adaptation Influx• Look 5: Josh B. Josh B. consists of a white kimono-collar cross-tied shirt paired with raw, untreated denim and a structured denim apron, all splattered with black ink. As the closing look, I had only one request for Josh, be as dramatic as possible. This ensemble is deeply personal, a visual echo of my own tendency to overdramatize simple problems. Named after a longtime muse and magnetic presence in my life, this look embodies both intensity and intimacy, a raw, expressive finale. Collin T. consists of a sleek black nylon PVC overshirt paired with flared denim trousers, detailed with side seam loops adorned by an eclectic mix of trinkets and buttons (I have gathered over the years).This look is the loudest physically and emotionally in the collection, serving as a reminder that self-expression should dominate any space, even when the space resists it. Named after one of the most unapologetically expressive models and fellow designer, this garment is a testament to the fact that personal style isn’t bought it’s built, slowly and deliberately, over time. As the most labor intensive ensemble in the collection, it serves as a visual representation for resilience and dedication. Named after my longtime model, this look embodies the concept that true work isn’t solely physical it’s the relentless pursuit of grace and strength in the face of adversity. The idea of mixing office and work elements without it looking heavy and severe was the main focus of this look, hence why it took the LONGEST to execute. Named after my dearest friend and beautiful model, this look embodies the resilience of grace, bend but without break. ••Adaptation in flux•• My next step after graduation is obvi finding a job and the idea of corporate life being nothing but a button down and slacks scare the shiii out of me.
