Flower bingsu bowls ๐บ
Spring has sprung?
These bowls were inspired by the classic bingsu (Korean shaved ice dessert) bowl shape with a taller foot ring. Make your bingsu a little more special in these colourful flower bowls ๐ง or any other desserts too!

My feature on the Gardiner Museum has been published in the February issue of Monthly Ceramic Art! I started planning this article last summer, and it has finally come out in the new year. I was happy to introduce Torontoโs leading ceramics museum, the Gardiner to Korean readers. The feature highlights their current exhibitions and main facilities, along with the newly renovated first floor.

The first vase was thrown in July, hand built in August, bisque fired in September, and glaze fired in November. Such a looong journey! I was inspired by pitcher plants, which I also referenced often during my school years.
For the second vase, I used a grog clay body. Itโs harder to throw (it can hurt your hands), but I actually donโt mind it! Once you know how to work with it on the wheel, it feels just as smooth as other non grog clay bodies in my opinion.
