I had no idea Langston Hughes did translation work until I saw an ad for this new book from @princetonupress . I started today with a few stories by Rafael Felipe Muñoz whose work I am now going to seek out in Spanish. Such rich and compelling translations, and it’s interesting to think about why Hughes chose these stories for translation. As you all may have guessed from the subtitles of my books or the chapter titles in The Disordered Cosmos, Hughes looms large in brain. Get into him/this book!
