Did you know CHT’s Vermont Housing Improvement Program (VHIP) partners with @cvoeo_vt ? The VHIP program supports landlords in Vermont by providing funding for essential repairs to affordable rental units. Select units from this program are set aside for people who are at risk of, or exiting homelessness. And CHT coordinates with CVOEO and landlords to source tenants for those units through Coordinated Entry. CVOEO’s role is essential in creating housing opportunities for the most vulnerable Vermonters, and we truly appreciate their partnership and the work they do in our community. *Ready, Set, Rent! - Is your credit a barrier to gaining housing through a CHT rental or co-op? This class teaches basic credit repair or building and helps cure the credit hurdle for potential CHT renters. Includes a free one-on-one counseling session to craft a plan specific to you!
*Basics of Buying - How do you know if you’re ready to buy? This free class will get you started with the information everyone needs to determine if homeownership is the right move. You may be closer to homeownership than you think!
*Homebuyer Education Certificate - Ready for a deeper dive? Our in-depth certificate program is offered both in person and virtually, and includes one-on-one counseling to review credit and housing affordability.

King Streets Center hosts the Financial Reality Fair to give students a hands-on simulation where they can experience financial challenges as they navigate their own “real world” scenario.
