CD Creatives | Development Programme
A contemporary dance programme for dancers aged 12+. The programme focuses on developing foundational contemporary technique, alongside improvisation and choreographic practice.
The course intake is limited to ensure all dancers have a personal experience and have space to grow and develop.
The monthly sessions are 9.30am - 11.30am at DMU, Pace Building in Leicester City Centre.

A contemporary dance programme for dancers aged 14 - 19. The programme focuses on developing contemporary technique, creative exploration and choreographic development. The programme also offers workshops with current professional artists, as well as performance opportunities.
The course intake is limited to ensure all dancers have a personal experience and have space to grow and develop.
The monthly sessions are 12pm - 4.30pm at DMU, Pace Building in Leicester City Centre.

Today is the start of our Beautiful Future Cross Regional Youth Exchange!
This is a mega exciting program bringing together dancers from 4 youth companies from across the country to meet, exchange and collaborate on a brand new performance work.
Linden Youth (Birmingham), CAPA College CHARGE program (Wakefield), York Youth Dance (York) and Chambers Dance Creatives (Leicester) form a 19 strong cast for a new work.
The group are working with Guest Choreographer, the amazing Monique Jonas, to create a piece inspired by Linden’s Beautiful Future project, which takes a positive, hopeful approach to how we can combat the climate crisis.
The exchange emerged from discussions about the importance of youth connection, networking and collaboration to help young people navigate the arts sector and encourage cross regional discussions about current societal concerns.
Huge thanks goes to Mel Knott from DE Montfort University for hosting us and to our wonderful funders Arts Council England and Pavilion Dance South West.

COMING OF AGE
A piece choreographed by our wonderful associate Lily Scully, alongside her wonderful dancers Iris E, Iris R, Neve & Indya. This will be performed next week as part of Mass Movement at the Curve Theatre.
We can’t wait to see it on stage!
