A long one so probably just for the real sickos. I appreciates you. One night, i woke up in the middle of the night. After hydrating I was about to get back to sleep when this whole thing sprung like Athena from my head. I had to write it or I'd never get it back. Sometimes sleep can wait.
And if I could blow the moon out of the sky(after LJG)

Seriously one of the greatest moments in chak'n'roll history. I almost didn't go to the show, I almost didn't sign up to sing, I almost didn't stay on the line when they said there was only one spot left, but the song I wanted was still free so I took it and got to live my best punk rock life, singing one of the coolest songs ever written with 4 amazing musicians, some of whom I've been listening to since high school. And I don't think I was too bad! So cool that @punk_rock_karaoke lets weirdos like me do this, and many thanks to @setlistninjas for the video!
Zephyr Zodiac played yesterday at the John Jermain Library in Sag Harbor, with special guest and one of my favorite singers Shelby King playing a couple of songs during the set break. My arms got a bit of a sunburn but I was very happy with our performance. Also very cool that someone stopped by after hearing us on WLIW!
The other day Pinky (shout out @katrina.mtc ) asked me if I know everyone. I'm still shocked when anyone knows me. One of the reasons I get out to so many shows is to make up for lost time because I spent a lot of years literally violently fighting my anxiety and usually losing every time I even thought about leaving the house. About ten years ago I thought I was never going to make another friend again, I would only lose them. It's only, seriously, been in the last month or so that I started feeling confident about even just being at most places. And I feel like my work is just beginning. Ten years to gear myself up to take a couple measly steps. Worth it. I'm ready. Start walking. Thanks for listening sweethearts and mother@#$&ers, I dig you the most.
Show 47 - nothing like a good old punk rock night at Mr. Beery's! Idiot Box, Deadly Skies, and the Unfortunates played to a room full of scene notables and music fanatics, including good brother and Patio proprietor Chris Plugs! Another great time with great songs at Long Island's home of original punk rock n roll!
Show 46 - it had been far too long since I got to hear @letfreedomling sing! A very cool jam with Ryan killing it on bass and an opening set from Purely Green to celebrate the art of @xx_pixxii.dust_xx !
Show 45! Subway to Skaville Anniversary Show! Hi, I'm Val. KMOY (The Band) was positively triumphant. I almost feel like I can escape Delayed Green and heal my life. Damn that Precure Album means a lot to me, always a thrill to hear those songs live and see the fine folks in that kickass band. The Pandemics were extremely cool as well, awesome ska band with great songs and I was happy to catch The Abruptors from Buffalo before heading back east. Ska has always been an important part of my musical diet and I love finding new bands to skratch that itch.
and I feel like I'm on the verge of something
of finally understanding
of putting my arms around my
instruments of destruction and telling them
we dont need that here any more
if we're going to be demolishing
let's tear down walls and rules
not hope, not connection
let's destroy distraction and compulsion
let's drain the whirlpool
plug up the vortex
jump head first into the wormhole
no more fear no more disruption
by the light of the moon
and the damn of the coffee
I might just need one Experience
to set the whole mess off
so I'm searching for that capital E
Show 44 - Baby and the Tramps, JVK, and Emi Larraud at Gold Sounds! I finally got to see B & the Ts and I love what Vaeda and Jake have put together! JVK were awesome, Emi Larraud gave a chill end to the evening, and great to see Glen of No Redeeming Social Value fame holding down the sound!
