The release arrives during another active stretch for both artists, with Snoop recently issuing his 2026 album 10 Til’ Midnight, while Kurupt has remained visible through new solo material and Tha Dogg Pound projects. “Survival” leans into themes of endurance, loyalty, and longevity, drawing from the pair’s shared history in Long Beach hip-hop culture and the turbulence surrounding the original Death Row era.
