this thai restaurant opened in 2025 and has been on my list for quite a while. have to say there was absolutely no misses out of this order. here’s the rundown:
- short rib panang curry: the short rib literally falls off the bone into a silky and lightly spiced curry to make the most magnificent bite with the rice on the side
- shrimp pad thai: these noodles were delicate and had a nice tangy flavor. the shrimp was juicy and tender
- tallow fried rice: this was super rich and delicious. the ribeye was cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. it comes with these little fried garlic pieces which were incredible
- folded dumplings: the softest peanut dumplings in a sweet white sauce
overall, this dinner was incredible. absolutely no notes @chadanyc

Grabbed a lovely dinner at the beautiful @chadanyc 🌃
Obviously had to get a Thai iced tea (not pictured)—never skipping that at a Thai spot.
For apps, got the calamari salted yolk with duck egg 🥚, mayo & chili 🌶️ paste.
Entrees were pad see ew with chicken & Chinese broccoli 🥬 + spicyyy pad kee mao with chicken 🔥 and interestingly, a unique touch of finger root ginger.
Safe to say… not a single bite went unnoticed 😌

I never did a NYC photo dump, which is a crime. 😩 For now, I just need everyone to know that I dream about this meal from @chadanyc once a week. That’s all, thank you. 💋
Finally tried Chada, the new Thai hotspot in the West Village🌶️
From the delicious folded dumplings to the shrimp pad thai and a rich, warming khao soi, every dish was unique and packed with flavor. Already planning our next visit!
We’re in our Thai era and the new popular spot, Chada, did not disappoint! 🥟
The food was delicioussss - could not get enough of the fried rice and pad see ew. Only note - wouldn’t recommend this spot for a long, relaxing dinner, since it felt a bit rushed. Regardless, the food was amazing and i’d happily go back to try more 🫶🍚
We tried:
- Beef Tallow Fried Rice; grilled ribeye, garlic chip, egg, marinated yolk 🥩
- Shredded Chicken Noodle: chicken breast, vermicelli noodle, Crispy chicken skin, scallion, cilantro, fried garlic (wasn’t obsessed with this one) 🧄
- Pad See Ew: beef, flat noodle, chinese broccoli, garlic, egg 🍜
- Surf and Turf Dumpling: shrimp, pork, water chestnut, scallion, sesame oil 🥟
- Sautéed Brussel Sprouts: fried shallot 🧅
