🚨 Important Notice: Reissue of Indian Passports – Urgent Cases
Applicants who require an urgent appointment for reissue of an Indian passport may send the following details to:

• Father’s name
• Existing passport number
• Date of issue of the passport
• File number of application (attach the completed application with the email)
• Date of expiry of the passport
• Reason for urgency
• Email ID
• Mobile number
🔎 What happens next?
Upon receiving the above details, the Consular team will examine the request. If approved, the Consulate will communicate the appointment date via email.
💳 Important:
Applicants whose requests are approved must pay the applicable fees at least 3 working days before the scheduled appointment.
Please carry a copy of the email receipt received from the Consulate at the time of the appointment.

• This facility is in addition to the regular appointment system available on the Consulate’s website.
• Requests for change of appointment date will not be allowed.
• Only one appointment will be issued per applicant (one person – one appointment system).
• The Consulate reserves the right to reject frivolous requests or requests containing incorrect information.
• The decision of the Consulate will be final. No further correspondence will be entertained.

On 15 May 2026, Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar met with Mr. Piero Crocenzi, CEO of the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino (Turin International Book Fair), at the ongoing 38th edition and discussed the possibility of institutional collaboration with book fairs in India.
👉On 09 May 2026 (Saturday), the Consulate organized an exclusive Consular Camp at its premises in Milan for the issue/reissue of passports for Indian citizens residing in the northern Italy region. About 200 applicants availed this consular service.
👉 The Consulate will continue to organize similar camps in the coming months. The date of the next Consular Camp will be announced soon.

The Consulate facilitated a virtual meeting between the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)& the AIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM) in Milan on 07 May 2026. During the meeting, officials from both institutes discussed their respective research priorities, training programmes, and the possibility of establishing institutional collaborations.
On April 28th we had the pleasure of hosting a Networking Evening at Rangoli Restaurant @rangolimilano in Milan, in collaboration with BCCI - British Chamber of Commerce for Italy @britchamitaly .

On 22 April 2026, GA-Alliance, an international law firm, in partnership with Diplomatia, organized a business seminar titled “Unlocking the Indian Market: A Strategic Roadmap for European Businesses” in Milan. Speakers at the conference shared insights on various aspects of India’s macroeconomy and the growth opportunities available for Italian companies. Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar briefed participants on investment opportunities for Italian companies across different sectors.

April 14 is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti to fondly remember his contributions to building the nation and drafting the Indian Constitution.
On 12 April 2026, Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar visited Shri Guru Ravidass Temple in Vicenza and offered prayers. He also briefed the Indian community about various initiatives being undertaken by the Consulate for the welfare of the diaspora. He was accompanied by Mr. Atul Chauhan, Consul for Community Affairs.
