Early this year she choreographed two music videos for rock/pop artist Mobley. An excerpt from her evening length work “Rhythm & Grooves” at Austin Dance Festival. Later this fall she release a new song with Capyac & will be performing in a new work titled “Void” with ARCOS. ***EDIT: CLASS IS FROM 7-8:30pm*** HEY Y’ALL! I know I’ve taught some House Dance masterclasses in the past, but I’m finally ready to get a regular class going! This claw is for ALL LEVELS. If you are new to House Dance, this class will help you learn fundamental footwork, rhythm, and polyrhythms. For those with more experience, this class will offer various techniques that can help you add nuance and specificity to your dance practice. No matter the level, we will all be working to deepen our individual relationships to rhythm through the use of groove. Wednesdays @ East Side Performing Arts, 7-8:30 PM, sliding scale $10-$15 starting 7/16 I can’t wait to groove and sweat with y’all!!

RHYTHM & GROOVES: This show meant so much to me. It was more than a dance show — it was a social experiment. I needed to return to what brought me to dance in the first place. Rhythm and community. Through the rhythm we connect to our own authentic groove and in turn we can share that groove with others. The rhythm is what connects us all. There are so many different relationships that can be found on a dance floor. Those relationships are responsible for curating the vibe. DJs and musicians establish tone and the dancers on the floor accentuate that tone with emphasis. By the end of the night my hopes were that the vibe would be undeniably joyful. I think we did it. She gained her BA in Dance Studies from Texas Woman’s University and has since performed in dance-works by local choreographers such as Jennifer Sherburn, Spaces of Fontana, Erica Saucedo, and Venese Alcantar. She has also choreographed music videos for the Austin based, contemporary-pop artist Middlespoon. She is a member of the band CAPYAC and went on a national tour last year opening for the Magic City Hippies. This summer she performed in CATS as Demeter with the Georgetown Palace Theatre.
