On this MLK Day, the Center for Transformational Change has released ‘A Political Hope Zine,’ exploring how creativity fuels resistance and resilience - a compilation of some soul nourishing thoughts. I feel grateful to have been invited by @lksriv to ruminate on a paradigm for hope. And importantly, I feel privileged and emotional to be in the company of such deep thinkers and change-makers on this important day.
Hope y’all will engage with the zine. Link in bio.

We sorely need moral clarity and servant leadership like his these days.
This type of leadership doesn't only come from people who are granted headlines and spotlights. It can -- and does -- come from any one of us. He would've likely agreed with that. May he rest in peace and power. #DesmondTutu #RestInPower

#PerweenRahman's work sparked our origins. We first created our Transformational Change Leadership framework inspired by her story.
The new film @IntoDustMovie1 further tells her story of fighting for #waterjustice. Watch now on @PrimeVideo . #ForOurWater

Yesterday, the #IPCC delivered their much-anticipated and sobering report on the state of the global climate, calling impact of humans "unequivocal" and "unprecedented".⠀
⠀
“Though some are more vulnerable than others, the effects of the climate crisis are hitting every corner of the Earth."⠀
⠀
The situation isn't without hope, but strong and decisive action needs to be taken now on a global scale to find a way forward.
Rights to freedom of thought, speech, assembly, movement, and press; ⠀
the right to feel physically safe; ⠀
the right to be protected from discrimination: ⠀
⠀
We speak of these as basic and inherent, but rights are in fact largely aspirational and therefore vulnerable without vigilance and the fight to ensure them.
