Had the chance to meet Fabio Frizzi after seeing a very special performance of his soundtrack for Lucio Fulci's absolute classic The Beyond. Obviously I had to get my Zombie (aka Zombie Flesh Eaters) soundtrack signed too!
I did something cool the other week... I took my first steps into film programming and event managing with 4 screenings for this year's @_pnfff (including my fave The Texas Chain Saw Massacre at Peckhamplex). Stepped out of my comfort zone to do some public speaking to do film intros. Oh, and I created an Eraserhead baby prop to take along to my screening of Eraserhead (scroll through to see it).
But even cooler, I have also been accepted into @cinemaforall 's Launch, a scheme set up to help people like myself start their own community cinemas and film clubs. The next few months are going to be busy, but maybe keep an eye out, as I'll be starting my own community cinema very soon. ✌️
@thenickelcinema just opened up this week, and I got to attend its second day for a screening of the fantastic pinku classic Female Convict Scorpion: Jailhouse 41.
If you're into the sorts of films that nowhere else in London will show, you really owe it to yourself to go and visit The Nickel. Fuck streaming, support independent cinemas.
An amazing evening finally seeing @zolajesus + Johnny Jewel @italiansdoitbetter live tonight at the Southbank Centre.
I'm so happy I was able to meet Nika after the show briefly. It has really made my whole week!
Visited Tromsø, Norway for a bit. Out in the mountains looking like a post-metal side project.
