A first look into my journey as Artist-in-residence at La Maison de Beaumont. @lamaisondebeaumont
This reel captures just a few moments of what has been one of the most creatively expansive and soul-nourishing experiences of my life.
Set in the heart of Provence, this residency has reshaped how I move, direct, and connect to my artistic voice. It’s about more than just making a film—it’s about responding to the landscape, allowing intuition to lead, and creating from a place of stillness and awe.
Through this short video, I hope you feel a bit of the magic that surrounds this place—the rhythm of nature, the quiet inspiration, and the beauty of collaborative creation with the incredible Maxfield Haynes. @itsmaxfield
There’s so much more to come, but for now, I hope this gives you a glimpse into the essence of the work and the energy that’s shaping it.

✨ We were honored to welcome the incredible César Abreu @cesarny — dancer at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC and filmmaker — to La Maison de Beaumont.
From the grand stages of New York to the quiet beauty of Provence, César brought his energy, elegance, and artistry to every corner of the residency.
Merci, César, for sharing your movement, your spirit, and your heart with us. 💫

✨ I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been invited to serve as a panelist at the Diasporican Cultural Summit hosted by CENTRO: Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College! 🇵🇷✨
On Wednesday, June 4th, from 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM, I’ll be participating in the Afternoon Tertulia: Archival Artistry – A Resident’s Research Experience at CENTRO en El Barrio.
This panel brings together former artists-in-residence — myself included — to reflect on how our time exploring CENTRO’s incredible Library & Archives shaped our creative journeys.
During my residency, I unearthed stories of resilience, creativity, and activism within our Puerto Rican diaspora, which inspired the creation of my dance film LAYERS — a meditation on identity, connection, and ancestral memory, and the sacred light that guides us through darkness.
It’s an honor to return to a space that champions our history and gives voice to our narratives. This summit isn’t just an event; it’s a celebration of community, heritage, and the transformative power of art as research.
If you’re in NYC or nearby, come join us! It’s free and open to all — a gathering of artists, scholars, and community members coming together to honor our shared stories.
CENTRO: Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College
📍 2180 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10035 📅 June 4, 2025 | 4:30–6:15 PM 🎟️ FREE
Let’s celebrate our culture, uplift our stories, and keep building bridges through art and memory.✨🇵🇷

A year ago this week, I said yes to something that would change me.
I traveled to France for the very first time — my first time in Paris, my first time in the south of France — after being offered an artistic residency at @lamaisondebeaumont .
What unfolded from that experience was so much more than I could have imagined.
During that residency, I not only had the opportunity to begin producing a new film, but also had the joy of premiering LAYERS in France.
I got to share endless laughter with beautiful Maxfield @itsmaxfield , make new friends, create unforgettable memories, and experience a kind of joy, expansion, and gratitude that has stayed with me ever since.
That time in France reminded me what can happen when you trust your intuition, take the leap, and allow yourself to say yes before everything feels certain.
It truly takes a village. And I remain so grateful to everyone who believed in me, supported me, and helped make that experience possible.
To the friends I made there and the memories we created — I carry them all very close to my heart.
Here’s to the experiences that stretch us, transform us, and bring us closer to ourselves. ✨🤍
