SCULPTURE SPOTLIGHT | DELCY MORELOS 'In Andean ancestral traditions, the human being is living earth, I am a body, I am earth. In the exhibition space, the earth expresses itself; it is the center and mirror of what we are.' – Delcy Morelos The Barbican (@barbicancentre ) presents the first UK public commission by Colombian artist Delcy Morelos. The large-scale, ovular pavilion made from clay, soil, spices and plant materials, spans approximately 24m in circumference. #CRThrowbackThursday | FREE ARTICLE The Irish potter Jack Doherty was Creative Director and Lead Potter at the Leach Pottery, St Ives, from 2008 to 2013. Eleanor Flegg tells the story of one of his final firings in St Ives in CR 261. South Korean ceramicist Jongjin Park (@jongjinpark_ceramics ) has won the 2026 LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize for 'Strata of Illusion', a sculptural porcelain work made by layering porcelain-coated paper before firing it in the kiln. The jury praised the piece for pushing the boundaries of ceramics through its tension between fragility and structure. This marks the fourth consecutive year that a ceramicist has won the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.
