Vale Nick Didovich (21/8/42-7/4/26 💛💛
It is with great sadness that Central United FC learns of passing of Nick Didovich An inaugural player in 1962, Nick emigrated from Žrnovo, Korčula (Croatia) and later settled in Auckland, where his lifelong devotion to Central began.
After retiring from playing, he became a passionate supporter, committee member, and club president (1983–1986), helping guide the club’s rise through the leagues. He generously contributed time, money, and expert stonemasonry to develop the club’s facilities, leaving a lasting legacy still visible today.
Awarded life membership in 1999, Nick remained actively involved for over six decades and later supported Auckland City FC.
Known for his warmth, generosity, and ability to connect with everyone, Nick valued community and friendship above all. Deepest condolences to his family.
Rest in peace, Nick.
