THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM - my first runway show Have you seen the elephant in the room? Have you told anyone? Have you talked about it? Have you touched it? Or will you keep seeing it and pretending it’s not there? Did you try to imagine what might have happened? Maybe we didn’t finish sewing the collection in time. Or maybe I didn’t even have enough creativity to imagine and design it. Maybe everything got lost in shipping. The tailor could have fallen ill. Or I could have forgotten everything, like in my worst nightmares. Instead, it had to go exactly like this. Today we denounce fashion and its system. We denounce the fact that everything moves fast, yet nothing truly changes. We denounce the big players who only ever do what benefits them. Dear Tigers, one of the most hectic, absurd, incredible, exhausting, passionate and emotionally rich years of my life is coming to an end. 2025 has been a year of huge changes, and I want to dedicate my entire recap to The Island! In case any of you missed it, The Island is the very first physical store of Giglio Tigrato, opened in Milan this past June. I’m here today to thank everyone who took part in creating the very first memories I hold close to my heart from the core of our “island.” I’m here with tears of joy for these milestones, with end-of-year exhaustion on my shoulders, but with a heart truly full of dreams, determination, and gratitude. Thank you to my Micioni, to my brothers, to my family, to lifelong friends and to those who came into my life in the last few years, months, or even days. Thank you to my amazing team, to the brands who believed in us, to my suppliers, tailors and pattern makers. Thank you to Bally and Popper, to Calù and Wolf. Thank you to everyone who came to visit us full of hope, to those who have followed us from the very beginning, and even to those who stumbled upon The Island by pure chance! Wishing everyone a beautiful ending and a beautiful new beginning. See you on the Island in 2026! xx C🖤🐅
