Ragdale is thrilled to announce an evolving partnership with the Center for Native Futures (CNF) and congratulates Aaron Golding (@lesterfallsapart ) and Lydia Cheshewalla (@goodwithcoffee ) on being selected as recipients of the Midwest Native and Indigenous Fellowship. Over the coming years, Ragdale and the Center for Native Futures will be working together to highlight the work of Native and Indigenous artists, and to create fully funded residency opportunities for two artists each year. Fellowships will be provided by Ragdale, with the Center for Native Futures curating each year’s Fellows and providing supplemental support through their networks and community. Recipients of the Midwest Native and Indigenous Fellowship will each receive a fee-waived 18-day residency and a stipend of $1,000. A special thanks to the DFT Trust and Shaw McCutcheon for their generous underwriting of these Fellowships.
The Center for Native Futures is the only all-Native artist-led arts non-profit organization in Zhegagoynak; they promote the advancement of Native fine arts, foster contemporary artists, and encourage Indigenous Futurists. The Center also hosts gallery exhibitions, artist residencies and community events throughout the year at their location at 56 W Adams St, in Chicago.
