Meet our Board: Max Hentosh
Max Hentosh joined our board in 2022 and is now the chair of our Exhibits Committee. His desire to blend art, architecture, and music, lends itself to a unique perspective on our community.
Max is the Principal of HR Department Studio, a residential and boutique commercial architecture firm with research projects into the urban fabric and progressive sustainable design.
He spends his free time managing and playing in his band, DSTRESSR. An audiophile at heart, his home was designed with a full music recording studio and live room. Known to his friends as the man with too many hobbies, he enjoys woodworking, developing games, painting and drawing, and when time permits, enjoying a relaxing weekend with his partner, cat, and two dogs.
Meet Our Board: Bill Cody
Bill Cody joined our board in 2023 to further his goals of expanding the reach and understanding of design in Columbus, Ohio. He is confident that design can solve many problems that Columbus faces now and in the future.
He is a Project Architect at AECOM, where he works on projects that shape the design fabric of Columbus. Bill has also been a member of the @aiacolumbus Committee on Design since 2019.
When he’s not working or spending time with his family, Bill spends time cooking and writing. His favorite dish to cook is the sweet corn and blackberry ice cream from the Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams cookbook. He is also a cinephile, still finding time to go to the theater every now and then.

Urban Columbus: The Future in Focus
The Center for Architecture and Design is excited to launch The Orange Line 2025! Meet Our Board: Murtadha Al-Shaikhli
Murtadha is a Team Lead with CESO, INC. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2024 because he wanted to support and apply our mission and vision to the design community:
“As part of the minority group in the design world, making design accessible to everyone is something I thrive to achieve.
Design Pop has always my favorite activity with the Center. It gives me the opportunity to interact with creative kids and see their design thinking skills and how they approach the final result.”
🗓️ Have a kid in grade 3–8? We have a free Design Pop event coming up on October 25th at the Center! They can design a mini fall/spooky house. Registration is open now on our site.
