Caira Moreira Projects is excited to announce Configurations of the Mutable Self, a focused survey of works by Ceninye Harris tracing his evolution from intimate portraiture to abstraction and speculative image-making.
Bringing together pivotal moments across his practice, the exhibition considers identity as fluid, constructed, and continually reconfigured. Early portraits foreground care and relational presence; later works embrace shadow, opacity, and atmospheric fields in which the body becomes fragmented or partially obscured. In these compositions, abstraction functions as agency, and the image resists immediate legibility in favor of sustained, deliberate looking.
