Barcelona, Spain. Thursday April 16th, 2026. Projection mapping at The Screen, the facade of Disseny Hub (Design Museum of Barcelona). Collaborative animation between
@eatpoopart and
@cemhasimi , Matthew Seremet and Cem Hasimi, respectively.
Working from Cem's hand drawn character animations and building off their style of flowing human energy, Matt composed a 3D scene of reactive particles each attenuated to individual subjects and the prescribed 125bpm click track. The skater's sparks, the newspaper reader's exploding mind, the annoying raincloud, the intrepid flying umbrella, the adventurer's backpack, the boombox blasting: each a world of their own sharing a common space.
"This work builds off our previous collab in procedural animation. We've created a rich dataset not just of animation frames but of true vectors, annotated in code with landmarks.
"Created for the open call hosted by
@offfest ! Slides 3+4 are alternate compositions that didn't make it in. Interestingly we thought that was our stronger piece! The one they accepted was a last minute combination of things, and us thinking it's just extra. Whoops lol"
Note from Matt: Thanks to
@nandos.art for letting me know of this event! I submit to so few things because I tend to only find out after a show has occurred. Trying to be more proactive and even host one myself? Slow burn.
