Our young blood brothers from Cincinnati @choncyband are coming into town this weekend and there will be a big record release party show for them at Bricktown on SATURDAY !! Luckily rippers @repentagram_ and brilliant bad boys @bath_drawers are playing with us and them.. @joejarpenter made the flier shown first here, but me Maddie I made an alternative more seasonal, family-friendly flier (seen second) that I think really captures what it would be like if tulips could play hard music. Everyone is welcome to come, dances around, and have a good time as long as you are kind and pure of heart. see you in the bowl, it will be a hot night.
March 14th we will be at Cobra Lounge to raise funds for the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund. We’ll be giving out whistles, connecting people with community activists like jail support and ICE watch groups, and concretizing Chicago punk as something inherently political. This event isn’t just to raise money, we are trying to build social bridges to network against the state-sponsored violence wreaking havoc in Chicago, Minneapolis, and other cities around the US. I’m very stoked on this diverse, all local line-up and hope to see y’all there. Thanks to @cobralounge for coming to us to collaborate on this show!

It feels so incredibly trite to be promoting our band while there is abject devastation happening around us and in the places we visit, however I do wholeheartedly believe in the power of community providing a place for people to come and rage/grieve/connect together in extremely dark times. SO thank you Minneapolis and everywhere else for opening your doors to us.
